Ethan James Maroon was born June 21, 1990 in Sioux Falls, SD to Jeff and Kim (Spielmann) Maroon. Ethan grew up in Sioux Falls. Ethan was an 8th grade student at Whittier Middle School and had attended Anne Sullivan Elementary.
Ethan was involved in band and was a member of the Wolverine Club at Whittier Middle School.

Ethan enjoyed jet skiing, snowmobiling, camping, driving a CJ Willys, working on his tree fort, playing with his dog Sam, his friends and cousins. He also enjoyed playing video games, yugi-o-cards, board games, cards and legos.

One of Ethan’s most memorable times were vacationing in the Black Hills, a trip to Florida with the Make-A-Wish attending a God Smack concert and Ozzfest with his family.

Through Ethan’s journey with his illness he was very courageous and determined, always had a smile and was a friend to everyone.
